The route in short
Leaving Verona, we reach the bridge of the Chievo Dam (km 5), which we cross, shortly taking us along the course of the Biffis Canal. We briefly leave the bicycle path to enter the town of Bussolengo (km 14). We resume the cycle path and follow the canal until it disappears into a tunnel (km 26). Here begins a first climb that soon leads us to Rivoli Veronese (km 30). Leaving the Ciclopista del Sole, along minor roads and short cycling stretches, with slight ups and downs we reach Caprino Veronese, check in at the Bar Bistrot All’Angolo (km 38).
Attention
Beware of the bollards along the cycle path that starts shortly after the Chievo dam, runs along the canal, and arrives in Bussolengo. When cycling in a group, and this will be the case since they are only a few kilometres from the start, the companion in front can cover the view of the bollard.

The route may be subject to change. The final tracks will be sent 15 days after the event. The elevation data are automatically taken from the Outdooractive software.

Environment and Landscape
The Arena of Verona: the most iconic venue we could find. Off we go! We leave the city, first following the Adige River, then along the Ciclopista del Sole that runs alongside the Biffis Canal. The landscape is open, with beautiful countryside cultivated mainly with or-chards, above all kiwi and peach trees. After passing Bussolengo, we continue along the Ciclopista del Sole, again in a splendid panoramic position over Valpolicella and Verona’s mountains: Lessinia and Monte Baldo. The narrow passage of Ceraino forces us to overcome a beautiful step in the woods. We soon reach the village of Rivoli, with the looming Fort Wohlgemuth, wanted by Field Marshal Josef Radetzky, and built in the mid-19th century, when the Austro-Hungarian Empire still reigned here. We head towards the slopes of Monte Baldo, pedalling through an essentially agricultural environment, to soon reach the characteristic village of Caprino Veronese.
