The route in short
We set off again quickly towards the west: Fonzaso (km 9), and then Arsiè (km 16), and finally we swoop down the Primolano jump (km 24). After the twisted route to get over the motorway, we take the Brenta Cycle Path. Passing several hamlets, we enter Valstagna (km 40). And off we go, determinedly, but stopping for a selfie on the famous wooden Ponte degli Alpini bridge at Bassano del Grappa (km 53). Now it’s flat. The route zigzags south-west: Schiavon (km 67), Sandrigo (km 76), Povolaro (km 83), Caldogno (km 90), and we close the stage at Creazzo (km 104).
Attention
Route almost entirely on secondary roads, except for a short section of cycle path.

Environment and Landscape
A few kilometres of ups and downs before we descend from the Scalette di Primolano into the Brenta Valley. A little more fine air as long as the valley remains narrow, and then we re-enter the warm-humid Valpadana, at Bassano del Grappa. There will be no time for a visit to its famous distilleries, because after saying goodbye to the famous Ponte degli Alpini bridge, we turn sharply south. Zigzagging around the new Pedemontana road a couple of times, we immerse ourselves in the beautiful and rich Vicenza countryside. Trying to remain on a pleasant minor road, we pass Schiavon, Maragnole and skim past Sandrigo. After Lupia, we cross the Astico river, and after Vivaro the Bacchiglione river. Then it’s off to the hills north-west of Vicenza: we pass Caldogno and Costabissara and close the stage in Creazzo, at the welcoming local Alpini structure.
